Is it just me or is the post office getting more and more efficient?

Last week, I mailed a package to Thurmont in Frederick County. I dropped it off at the post office at 2pm. I received a phone call about noon the next day saying it had been received.

This past weekend, I placed an order for something online. I had the option of having it sent UPS for $9 shipping or USPS for $3. Having no urgent need, I went with USPS. The company was closed for Labor Day, so the company couldn't process the order until Tuesday at the earliest. It came in the mail today. :yay:

I've noticed that too. If I send a card or a small package from the Lex Park PO to Long Island, it's there overnight. No special handling.
