SMECO is now reporting almost 5600 power outages in St. Mary's. Lights are flickering, so expect the numbers to increase. It's a blowin' out there ya'll!

The numbers are bouncing around like mad. It looks like as soon as they restore power to some area, another one goes out. The SMECO crews are going to have a LONG night.

My electric had flicked off a few times. I hope it stays on :fingerscrossed:

There's not much I can do here in the dark and without a computer. If it's out for more than an hour, they will let us go home and will call when it's back on. Fortunately, I only live about 10 minutes away.

My power flickered at work, so I took that as a sign to go home. I currently have power at home, but just to be safe, Bug & I headed to Pier One to restock the candle supply.

Police officers are putting down flares where trees are blocking the road. Not much they can do now. SMECO is working hard to keep up. I was going to Wally world tonight, but I think that can wait till tomorrow! :lmao:

Where ever they are finding more trees down. I don't know enough of the roads around here to even tell you where they are in the county.

:yeahthat: This morning coming in I was entirely rerouted because of a tree down on Wilkerson in Charles County. PITA to backtrack all the way back they try another way (of which everyone else has already figured out and are clogging the tiny side road thats not meant for hoards of cars)
