I wouldn't want the prayers to be misdirected so let me clear things up... I am not BrassyChic and my spine is fine.

A few months ago I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Yesterday after another trip to my specialist and his review of a batch of new tests which included a spinal tap I've been diagnosed with Arachnoidosis. I feel very overwhelmed! I've been referred to Johns Hopkins for treatment. Thank God they have a team of doctors there who are the best in the country!

Prayers please for my physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health! Thanks!

God can and does, but not always. Everything is for His purposes. Many people think God doesn't answer their prayers when really what they mean is God didn't answer their prayer the way they wanted Him to.

Prayer is our way of communicating with God. It is the prescribed method of communication in the Bible. Prayer is to praise God, give thanks, petition Him for blessings, all sorts of things, but it is not to just be a shopping list of "I wants." We pray in faith and should accept God's answer. Sometimes His answer is, "No." No is just as valid an answer as "Yes" or "Wait." He knows what is best for us, those around us, and as we fit into the world and in to His kingdom. It is just hard to take no for an answer when that is the answer that is given.

They originally gave me muscle relaxers and pain pills, but having a 2 yr old at the time I couldn't take them, so I did start seeing a chiropracter who was wonderful and helped me right up until last year, when it has gotten so bad that he can no longer help me, but he fare warned me of this when I started seeing him. I have the same days, I've had days I've had to call someone to come help me out of bed, but basically all these years I knew I couldn't take medications and I wasn't going to have sugery so I've just learned to live with it.

I would say go to Hopkins and see what they say, it worth listening, they have got to have something better out now or at least got better statics on the surgery if you need it.

My doggie is doing better, I took her back to the vet who has her on a live organsim to clear it up, she told us once we get it cleared up then start the dog food from the special doggie store. So hopefully here in the next 3 weeks we will be able to go over there. It's been a long haul. 3 weeks ago my choc lab got bit by a copper head on the nose. Wow that was scary and so was the vet bill...

The Specialist told me that the Chiropractor wouldn't work for me. At least it helped you for a year! That's a long time when you're in this much pain! Thank you for your input and I am very sorry that you also have this disease to deal with. I've done alot of praying today and meeting with my Pastor tomorrow.

Poor doggie! Good grief! Your dogs are very lucky to have such a good loving owner!

Thanks so much! What reading would you suggest in my bible? I'm meeting with my Pastor & his wife tomorrow and will definately be praying alot for healing. I feel a little leary about asking for anything for myself, especially from God but I guess if I don't who will!

I remember from being a little one my Mom always telling me that asking God for anything isn't selfish and that he may not answer right away or in the way I would expect but I would get either a yes, no or a wait awhile!

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. Here are three. Matthew 7:7-12, Matthew 8:1-17, and John 11:1-45. In these passages, Jesus says to pray, or heals someone, and even raises Lazarus from the dead.

God can and has raised people from the dead. He can certainly cure your ills.

Praise God! My Church, friends and my parents Church prayed that I wouldn't have to wait months on end to get into Hopkins. Originally my specialists office said it would take them at least 3-4 weeks to get my notes/records/results sent to Hopkins. The next morning at 8:04 a.m. my doctors office called and said they had put a rush on all my information and received it that morning and had already faxed everything up to Hopkins! PRAYER WORKS! Thanks to everyone here who has prayed for me also!

I hear there is a Dr Peacher up at JHH and specializes in fibermylagia. My mom is suffering from the same thing. She was dx in 1995 and things have gotten bad in the last year for her. She is not in a wheelchair, Thanks be until God. I will pray for you. It is a very difficult disease to treat and for you to understand.

Thank you for your prayers! I need all I can get! It's bad enough dealing with the Fibromyalgia but now being diagnosed with Arachnoidosis is even more taxing!

I am so sorry to hear about your illness. There is a saying that I keep close when I feel like everything is crashing on me...Frightening circumstances are less troublesome if we trust the hands that control them.

Yes indeed, you are in our prayers. Bless your heart, it's kind of a double-whammy there. My wife has secondary progressive MS, and so the symptoms are similar as are the therapies. We'll keep praying for you, for sure!

Thanks Railroad and God Bless you and your Wife and family! Now that Hopkins has all my information, I have to wait to hear from them to get an appointment. I'm very anxious and praying they will call soon!

Horrible flare up yesterday. The tremors or spasms were so uncontrollable! I need alot of prayers sent my way today!
