Of course they are rebuilding: a new coach just like yours, a new quarterback, what else can you call it?
If it's any consolation to you, the 'skins are probably a little farther along than the Giants are, but time will show us that.

I listened to them for another half an hour, just morbid curiousity on my part, and let me tell you, it was plain they did not go to the LOSERS' locker room like they usually did in other games.

just because Gibbs is back, it don't automatically guarantee they'll make the playoffs.

The Skins WILL make the playoffs. What I think will happen is a Super Bowl win but I'm a tad unsure about that one.

As I've said quite a few times, the NFL is all about a few plays per game being the difference between winning and losing (unless you played the Ravens in the Super Bowl recently...in which case it was a BUNCH of plays) but, I digress.

Cinncinnati is turning into the real day. Coaching.

As Otter said, Dallas, made the playoffs. Coaching.

All criticisms about Snyder and his methods are valid. He is not a 'football man' and it shows. BUT he has the good luck/hard work/whatever to have been able to get one of the all time greats back.

To Snyders credit, we have won the April Super Bowl (free agent and draft) 5 years running.

Joe Gibbs with the talent AND heart guys we have will prove decisive for more than a few plays per game. Regular season 12-4

If they don't make the playoffs, I'll sing the Giants fight song.

Otter, I hope he at least pulls a breathing rabbit out of that hat, and not a choked -up one. Given the fickleness of the Redskins' front office,(how many coaches have they had since Gibbs "retired", and went into NASCAR racing?) he's going to have to produce a winning season or the armchair quarterbacks will start kibbitzing come Monday morning.

It was almost embarassing to watch and listen to "Redskin Report", or whatever it's called on the tube with Sonny and his friends. It got so bad at times, I thought they should have called it "Redskin Whining"!

I heard one game on 98.3FM one Sunday afternoon late last season where Sonny and his sidekick(Gene Michaels?) on radio said they felt so bad about the loss, and the way the 'skins played, they were going to skip the post game interviews in the Redskin locker room, and go directly to the team bus!

I'd never heard them say that in previous games.

Every nerd that comes into my place of work wearing a Redskin jersey, or hat, positively seems to be bubbling over with "We got the coach back, we got the coach back,(Gibbs), and it's gonna be all right now, you'll see!"

They're putting all their eggs in one basket, that "He's The One We've Been Waiting For". Yeah, it's the second coming of Methusela, BWAAA-HAAA-HAA!

It's really just short of pathetic that they just know it's all going to turn around!

Oh, I'll have to watch, if they're on the local TV network. I get the Redskins games on Sunday, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I will do a little more praying, those Sunday morning at church, but I don't know if the Lord can do any miracles in these cases!

There are only three 'cakewalk' games on the schedule; Browns, Lions and 9'ers. Maybe add the Bears. "Cakewalk" in the NFL is Greek for "Got beat by a team you should have killed".

The rest are all going to be thoroughly tough games.
