I was wondering if anyone used any of the prepaid wireless services like trac phone, net10, TMobile to Go and Virgin in southern maryland? What are your opinions. How is the coverage?

I make about 10 minutes of calls a month on my cell phone and I am sure one of these would same me some $$$$

I have a go phone and I like it. I get free weekends and nights with mine.

I use T Mobile and I bought a $100 phone card. The $100 card gives me 1000 minutes of call (10 cents a minute). The credits expire in 1 yr. If I recharge all the minutes I have left over carry over to the new expiration date. THe expiration dates are longer on higher denomination recharge card.

Verizon is a CRAPload cheaper then TracPhone.. TracPhone comes out to almost $.75 - .85 a minute.. where as Verizon pay as you go, is only $.10 and $.05 evenings and week-ends.. WITH RollOver minutes..

Where they really get you is how often you have to add minutes, for someone like me who only uses a cell 2-3 a month most that you must recharge every 30 days is a rip off, Virgin only needs a $20 card every 90 days which is the way I am leaning. Their coverage seems to be ok. I still haven't decided yet though.

That's expensive.....
$10.50 even if you never use the phone.

I pay 10 cents a minute period....no daily fees with T Mobile.

I recharge annually with a $100 card and like I stated earlier no daily fees.

I think Verizon (it's been awhile) was a $15 card a month. NO daily fees, and you still got rewarded for nights and week-ends off of your normal rate. AND Verizon was the only phone to work past gate three.. I worked on WEbster Field, and granted Service was spotty, but it was better then any other carrier with NO service..

:yeahthat: Think they're on the Verizon network. A friend had a Virgin phone here last year and coverage sucked.

That's my question, too. I have Verizon's analog service and I only get decent signals in Lexington Park and Charlotte Hall.

 The Green Door is about as due south of gate 3 as you can get.
