My credit card bill was almost $8000 this month (my new floors are on there).

The minimum payment due was $118.

No wonder people get in over their heads with credit card debt - they're not required to pay it off in a reasonable timeframe. It would take about 67 months - that's over 5.5 years - to pay off the balance if you only pay the minimum each month. And that's not counting interest accrual, or the payment getting smaller as the balance gets smaller.

It just boggles the mind.

I heard of a proposal that would allow a discount to people using cash. I would go that way, except for purchases at gas stations. I would pay the full rate not to have to go inside and leave a cash deposit and then go back in to get change.

What in the world is an infrared trash can? I know I could google it but please tell me the benefits. :killingme

The Touchless Trashcan uses patented, invisible, and harmless infrared technology. Simply place your hand or debris about six inches away from the infrared sensor near the lid. It will open instantly when you approach and will close automatically in three seconds after debris has been released and your hand moves away. The lid will remain open if debris or your hand is within the 6-inch range of the infrared sensor.

Merchants do pay a hefty amount accepting credit cards. If I have to pay more using plastic, so be it. I gave my last paper dollar to a homeless guy in AA County two weeks ago. I then gave him all my change. :nomoney:

The credit card I use gives me 1% cash back for each purchase. I can either get a check at the end of the year or they will apply it to my end of year statement.

I will not pay interest or an annual fee. I will also not start carrying cash. If I got mugged, I can never get the cash back. If my credit card is stolen, I won't have to pay a penny.

Mine do, but when it opens they quick back up & look to see if we see them, it slams shut with a noise. OR another way we can tell, open - slam-open -slam. We have had one for over 2 yrs and they still have not succeeded, maybe they just like the noise or they do not want to be bad
