You know, I get tired of hearing this in regards to abortion. It's not just about "what you do with your body." Like you said yourself...there's a child involved here.

That said, I do understand what you are saying about the child automatically becoming part of the "system" as soon as its born, because there would be no parents to take care of it.

How DID she get pregnant?? And by "how" I don't mean "how :really: ." I mean the circumstances.

It really is up to the mother. She has to carry the child, she has to give birth to this child. She has to live with this child until it's at least 18 or older. Its a commitment she'll have to make the rest of her life.

If we want women to be equal in our society they should be able to chose to have an abortion, just as men can choose to leave a parental relationship without any life changing fallout, and child support is nothing compared to actually raising, and supporting a child throughout it's life cycle.
