I have to say no note... Unless you plan on staying there forever, I think you need to keep perspective of the fact that you "work" for them and that so long as (1) you do a good job, (2) they are making money, and (3) there is a demand for their wares, you will likely continue to have a job... Note or no note, loose one of those three and you're out on you ear with their note.... a "pink slip"...

I worked for an employer for over 12 years who, near the end of the business' life, he couldn't seem to manage his finances. As he soon as the paychecks slowed, you'll see who comes first in the business world...

I'm not saying to hate your boss or hate or job or anything like that. Just keep it all in perspective.
