Professional Landscaping/Mulching

Does anyone know how to do the mulching technique to get that professional look in your "own back yard," without having to pay the high costs of professional landscapers??

It looks as if they use some special tool to "cut" around the area that needs mulching -- and then slope the area down, but I just can't seem to get it right.

You're all F'in Mad...
You can edge with a line trimmer at an angle, and then use a shovel to sharpen it up if needed.

They use a flat bladed shovel to define the edge of the bed, and then really pile on the mulch, instead of just putting down an inch of it, they'll put down 5" or 6" of it. When you have that much of it, you can really pile it up nicely.
