The WWE has always done the tribute shows when one of their own passes. And I'm sure that the words of those who spoke last night who were close to Chris Benoit wouldn't change too much in light of these new circumstances; instead they may may asking themselves why they didn't see it and/or react before it was too late.
It's a shame, he was a great wrestler, but will now only be remembered as the wrestler who murdered his wife and child. Everything he has accomplished in his life is now an afterthought.
I would hope that is a false impression..
I wouldn't stand up and eulogize my best friend or my brother, sister, mom or dad if they had done the same thing.. This beyond acceptable behavior, or forgivable behavior.. I would have nothing good to say about anyone that could do this.
the ONLY thing I could think to say would be..
"I never knew he was the murdering type, and if I thought he was capable of killing a 7 year old child, I would be the one to suggest he take his own life, or let me do it for him. He has shown himself to be a coward, and less then deserving of a funeral, a eulogy, a comemoration.. or even a headstone."
