Saw it recently on Weaponology which is why it came to mind.
Amazing what those little bullets can do. Maybe a .22 version to minimize collateral (meighbor's property) damage.

Of course the mix of loads stays, incendiary, armor piercing, etc.
I do have blueprints for a working scale model of an 1965 Gatling in .22 LR, bought them about 30 years ago.
Have a letter from the ATF saying it's legal to build, own and fire, so long as it stays hand cranked.

I believe they do. The Dillon is smaller and handles both 7.62 and 5.56 rounds. So I guess it does handle a .22 caliber round.
I guess we stay away from the armor piercing rounds then :)
GE Armaments Division built a 5.56 version, the XM214, back in the early 70's, called it the Microgun inhouse.

They also built 12 gauge and 40 mm grenade launcher versions.

Went there a few times as field trips from Norwich, the military college in Vermont, when I was a cadet there from 75 - 79.

1865 - had me there until I read hand cranked. Still could be fun.
It would do a number on a trash pile, need some incendiaries in the mix

That and a couple twelve packs would be such an epic Saturday!!!
If you ever decide to turn the blueprints into reality, I’ll help!!!
