I am glad to see someone admits that what happened that day was tragic as many on here continue to insist it was a peaceful protest.
Of course it wasn't peaceful. There were people killed. Duh!
Doesn't change the FACT that it was completely avoidable and most, if not all, of the 'security' during that day should be held accountable.

P.S. Those articles are almost 3 years old! No arrests, only 'investigations.' Where are the convictions? They were able to arrest, try, and convict some of the people in the building already. Why are there no convictions of police yet??

I would blame Trump who lied and told people the Government and Pence were stealing an election when no such things is true.

Just as somone can be held liable for screaming fire in a crowded stadium and getting people killed when they know no such fire exists Trump should be held liable for causing the attack on our country.

I am not sure why they haven't gotten to those convictions yet You might want to talk the justice department and FBI. They kind of have their hands full with the almost 1000 other arrests and convictions they have made and untangled years of Trumps lies and his coconspirators.

If someone proclaimed some "fiery rhetoric" to you and inspired (mind you I said inspired, NOT directly told you to do so) you to break into a bank after hours AND the night security guard pointed out where the money is and guided you through...
Would you REALLY blame the guy with the "fiery rhetoric?"
I would think he is not culpable or, at the very least, the least culpable of all.
You have one groups JOB that was to protect. Another groups actions to rebel. Any finally, another person who said some words.
You think the words guy is totally to blame?

It was not fiery rhetoric.

It was deliberate lies to get people to attack the capitol to stop Pence form certifying the election.

First Trump tried to give Pence a series of fake electors. When Pence refused to use them in place of the actual electors Trump escalated his attacks blaming Pence for not "doing the right thing" depsite what he wanted Pence to do would go against the constituion.

He then told people to amrch to the capitol to save their country and stop the streal.

None of which was true and Trump knew it.

The attack was poorly planned and carried out by idiots but it was no less an attempted coup. They set up a gallows and wanted to hang Pence and Pelosi.

The more you make excuses for Trump under the guise of free speech the more you degraded the Constitution and our country.

You like living in your fantasy world don't you?

How did the "security guard" simultaneously show Ashli Babbit where the vault was and shoot her?

Why can't you have a single thought that doesn't conflict with your last thought?
Why can't you have a single thought that doesn't come out as a retarded statement?
How come everything you type out creates a migraine?
How come the only thing you regurgitate are Lefty marxist lies?
Why haven't you done the whole world a favor & opened some veins already?

It's true.

You've been shown hundreds of times the election was fair and yet because an orange snake oil salesman tells you to protest you do it.

What flavor of Kool aid is that? Orange juice ?
I'm really glad I stumbled across the term halfwit. You throw out a LOT of accusations here, from the few words I post regarding the fake insurrection. It only goes to show that the argument you make has no foundation in reality. You attack me with pre-programmed rhetoric fed to you by your handlers. If you ever had an original thought, it would die of loneliness. Thank you for being the poster child of the left. You do the position great honor, you halfwit.
