Why do so many parents transport their kids instead of letting them ride the bus? Just asking...

Mine rides the bus almost everyday. I was home sick today, so I took her to school rather than to day care to ride the bus. I also take her to school on my CWS days, that way we both get to sleep in.

Because some bus drivers don't know how to drive!! Today my son tells me that the bus was going way too fast in the community. There was a girl who got off the bus crying, mind you she is 12, she told her mom that the bus felt like it was going to flip over.. He did get reported by the parents.
Thank god this was not their normal bus driver.. She is a safe driver..

I hate it when it is time to pick up the kids and parents park in the drop off zone and blocks the handicap spot and other cars from leaving. They go inside to get their kids and they are the one you see standing there chatting away with someone. Meanwhile I am in my car and can't leave the parking spot because Mrs. Busybody is talking and her car is blocking me from leaving.. OH how I would love to ram my car into hers! They are too lazy to pull their damn car into a spot and walk a little.

Remember the aunt who dropped her nephew off, only to see him shot by the sniper...

I always wait to make sure whoever I drop off wherever gets where they're supposed to be.

Same here, there is nothing that pressing that would interfere with my child getting to school safely.

I watch mine go in the school too.

You're a LOON :)
I know exactly what you mean. I get sick of the parents who PARK in the drop off area and walk their child up and into the school. Why is it so hard to park in a parking spot? This year has been slightly better because someone stands right there now. Their are also several other people standing to walk the kids across the crosswalk and NONE of the kids could go anywhere but IN the school. This is at PES.

The other day at Appeal their was a line for drop off. The lady in front of me drives past the line and I followed behind her because I was going to park. Well she didn't park. She stopped and got out and got her kids out. WHY?

If I waited I'd be there 10 minutes. They don't open the doors until 8:10. The kids and teachers stand out front unless it's cold or raining and then it's into ther gym.

PSA: Dropping off kids... 10-17-2007 08:51 PM What about a school bus?
We don't have a school bus, for the 3rd or 4th time.

I don't particularly care about the matter one way or another, but I felt like commenting on this.

Either you are a liar or your car is so full of crap that you probably shouldn't have a child in it anyway. Your average backpack holds maybe 1.5 cubic feet (+/-).

That is not true. It depends on how many kids you have in the backseat, there is little room for them all to have the backpacks in smaller cars. Why the hell would you call a liar?

Barely room for 6 including me to the elementary school, and then I drop three and pick up three more! This is in a Kia Rio. :faint:

Thanks! But it was totally a true story...my mother complained to her about it and she told my mother that maybe I should think about "wearing a helmet" next time.

:roflmao: Now I like you more. And I am crazy about that bus driver :yay:

Oh wow. No when I drop mine off it is right at the time the doors are opened for them to go right in. Not that long at all..but mine is at that age where if I drop them off and I do not watch them go in they make take a u turn...
