He also established them forever and ever: These heavenly things – angels, the sun, the moon, the stars, the sky itself – were not only made by God, but they also continue because of His word (a decree). Their continued establishment gives them reason to praise the God who is the cause of it.
Kings of the earth and all peoples: Yahweh’s praise should extend to those who are made in His image. All humanity – kings, princes, judges, young and old – all owe praise to the God who made them and sustains them.
He has exalted the horn of His people: Yahweh deserves such praise from all things on earth because He has rescued and established His people. Those who find their power (the horn of His people) established because of Yahweh owe Him praise.
There was a lot of talk about "horns" in the book of Revelation. I saw on the news the other day that a lady was gored by a bison in one of the state parks. Now if the bison had only hit the woman with his head.... it would have put her on her keister..... but horns make the bison deadly. It was the horns that hospitalized the woman..... so "horns" is a good word to symbolize "strength".
This is a praise song and IMHO it says all our strength comes from God.... so give God a shout out for keeping us strong and safe.
