I've been offered a position with PSI Pax. I currently work for BAE Systems. I'm now forced to make a decision for whom to work for. Does anyone work for PSI Pax? If so how do you like the company? With the economy in such a mess is now a good time to switch to a smaller company? Please help…any advice is appreciated.

What will PSI Pax do when the contract you're working on is over?

How long have you been with your current company?, if a long time, you need to take that into consideration cause you'd have seniority.

Yeah, okay.

Did you apply for the job, or did PSI Pax just offer you a job?

Is PSI Pax offering more money, better benefits? How long is the contract you will be working on or are you overhead?

Especially if you get in a position without annual reviews and raises.

In today's economy, seniority is a pipedream...

I have worked for PSI PAX for two years now. Good benifit plan, bonus, competive raises and quaterly luncheons at Daughtery Center.
Appreciation is shown to each employee for their dedication and hard work. I am very happy and committed to PSI PAX!

Not really. With my company I get glowing evals that don't amount to squat. Not to mention, my boss stopped pursuing gettting myself and another employee promotions merely because we've only been with the company 5 years.

Not always Mr. Negative!

Mr. Negative, ilike that, but you don't know how wrong you are. Now run along and check the news, and let the big kids handle this one.

I've known BAE employees who have been with the company for years without a raise, or even a COLA. New hires making more, etc. Of course, maybe they are mediocre employees. IDK.

Granted, I know many BAE and PSI Pax employees that are very happy with their employers.

JL, my advice is to weigh the pros and cons of both before you jump.

Maybe he feels your not utlizing company time/funds correctly because you're on the forums while at work.

It's better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

If you do work for BAH and aren't getting promotions because "of only being there 5 years", then someone must have you fooled. I know quite a few people or work there that get raises with their reviews and a couple have been there a little over a year. Do you have a degree? If not, that might be holding you back also. They are all for degrees.

I used to work for BAE Systems...and I was happy to leave. There were some really good folks who worked there, but they were not among the group that I worked for.

However, I've been an Employee-Owner at SAIC the past 5 years and cannot be happier. It could be that I just fell into poor group at BAE Systems, and was lucky enough to land with a stellar group at SAIC...but I'm HAPPY where I am.
