Scientific research can be made to say anything.

I can say drinking energy drinks prevents cancer, find a bunch of people who drink energy drinks and, if they don't have cancer, "prove" my theory. Once I post it on the internet, it's got to be fact because Bob says it is.

So, there you go. Drinking energy drinks prevents cancer because I said so online.
