Puppies for Sale

Pixie's Pup just got spayed yesterday:smile: Poor little baby was so sleepy and drugged up, it was pitiful. She's such a sweet little thing. I've NEVER had a puppy before so I'm really enjoying the time I get with her. If her original owner hadn't turned her over to me, she'd probably would have been put to sleep, just because she's a pit mix!
The cool thing around here is that PETA's SNIP van (spay/neuter RV) has a reduced cost for fixing dogs and cats- 49 for a spay for a dog and 40 bucks for a neuter for a dog. Even less for cats. If you have a pure blooded pit bull, it's free. Pixie's pittie is a dalmation mix, so it still cost.

Wow, that's really inexpensive for a dog spay or neuter. You said it's a van, so it's a traveling clinic?

Congrats on the puppy, Pix! She looks absolutely adorable.

Oh Pix you did get her...I loved her..I thought she was wondeful...congrats...cant wait to see more pics of her...

I haven't gotten her yet. H6 still has her. She has to come and do the home visit and whatnot still. She's got obligations until the end of next month and our kitchen isn't done yet and it's really not puppy safe yet. So B and I have a month to get everything in order and H6 has another month to enjoy puppyhood.

Yes, it's a converted Recreational Vehicle. Huge thing with the comic strip "MUTTS" characters all over it. They go up to Williamsburg on Wednesdays but their generator broke so a call went out to all rescues saying "If you have a dog or cat in need of altering, call and make an appointment" Usually the waiting list is 3 weeks long. They do good work. I know PETA folks are pretty "out there" but they're providing an important service. They give out free bags of straw for dog bedding and free doghouses too, along with a handout about why you should never chain up a friend (dog) outside without shelter.

*Supergrover, I'm not advertising for the Humane Society, I don't think they've been mentioned at all by me. I've only posted Petfinders.com info for people who think puppies are in short supply and feel a need to not spay or neuter. I find it ghastly that there are THOUSANDS of dogs (and I don't dare look up the cats numbers) in need of a home. It doesn't even list the pets that are in local pounds, being killed daily just because they have no home. Over 4000 dogs in Norfolk alone are killed yearly, and they only recently started to adopt out the Pitbulls.

meaning an entire month of potty training:rolleyes: and still no trips for her to the dogpark without her second or third set of puppyshots. At least she still has puppy breath. She's such a little dingus, insists on walking on the dirt in the flower pots outside. She loves to rush my ornery little old dachshund and make her bark at her. She plays NONSTOP with her foster sister, a chow "lab" mix, and is learning bad cat habits from her (She thinks it's really fun to find kitties and make them run under the bed) She gives the sweetest little puppy kisses too. She's starting to "talk" like my deef dog does, but she can hear just fine. I'll miss her when she goes, but then I get to see her go into a good home, and I get to save another.

You should really not breed your dogs. The puppies are unwanted and they either become strays without food and die or are picked up, taken to the pound and eventually put to sleep.
