Get her a playmate?
Well the breeder just hinted that another litter has been born. but one is enough she is hard enough to take care of its not even funny. My stepdad is going to get my stepbrother to bring over lelo again and let her run bruno crazy for a little while.

I am trying nanny pam. Its not as easy as it sounds.

Occupation:
professional pet sitter (a one person team) don't have tons of people working for me either like most of the petsitters on here do

I bet you don't make very much money in your occupation.

I get mad at her and try to get whatever she has away from her but she thinks everything with me is a damn game.

You need to take a training class with her. She doesn't respect you. It's really not that hard. Get someone to train YOU how to behave, and you'll be able to train the dog.

This might seem kind of cruel, but it would be more humane to turn the dog over to the shelter. They may be able to find it a good home. Even if they can't, euthenasia would be better than this.

How the heck do you get a puppy to quit picking up the wood for the woodstove and shredding it all over the house and also she has a fetish for magazines and newspaper too. Can someone tell me something that works to not get them to eat those 3 things as I am sick of cleaning up atleast 4 to 5 messes a day?

You think you have it rough? My stupid puppy won't stop pooping all over the crate! She had 2 baths in the middle of the night last night. We have made the crate smaller, we have tried waking up more frequently at night and everything! We just got her on Saturday and she is super cute, but hubby is getting frustrated already and I don't know how much longer I am going to have convincing him that she will stop.

max and my bruno look like they came from the same litter 4yrs apart though as bruno has freckles on her face too and the markings look the same on him as they do on her.

Tell the lady to contact the breeder she got the dog from they might take him back and find him another good home. I know some will do that.

I am not going to give up my bruno its going to take her some time to understand I am not her playmate (shes still a baby).

aw aw awww --if I didnt have a baby Id take that big lug. I have a 5 month old St. bernard and she is pretty good for the most part. I have had some JRTs that were bad for chewing. I had to keep em up when I could not watch them- (crated)
Good Luck.

A rule of thumb is add 1 to the number of months they are old and that is the MAXIMUM time they can hold it. How often do you take her outside?

JP, is Bruno getting enough exercise (i.e. daily walks)? Because she's an 11 month old puppy, she's very energetic and curious, not to mention a Saint Bernard that needs A LOT of exercise. They are working dogs and need a job. Purchase a doggie backpack and load it with weight (books/fruit/toys). Put it on her when you go on walks and that will tire her out easily (and satisfy her need to do something).

Don't think she got him from a breeder as she stated "going BACK to the shelter".

My dog loved to chew on wood when he was a puppy. Would drag firewood from the yard up two flights of stairs to the top of the desk and it would be nothing but slivers in no time flat. Also would chew on the baseboards and bottoms of cabinets. Finally stopped doing it most of the time but I had to stay after him and take it from him and substitute his Kong toy to chew on. Lots of praise when he chewed that. He still likes to chew and when he is chewing something he shouldn't I can now just say "No, get your Kong" and he will get up and find it.

Just be consistent and use a stern voice. I agree that a training class for you both would help establish the correct bond between the two of you.

Yes tes she does get exercise everyday she either runs around the backyard while my stepdad does outside work or she goes for 4 walks a day. Right now shes sleeping at my feet as she just had some food and now her belly is nice and full. I brought in one of her other toys that was in my stepfathers car and she has been playing with that most of this am.
