Puppy Seizures

Just got back from the vet. I met up with my mom and my sister. They put Tink to sleep. My mom is having her cremated and keeping her ashes. She's not going to bother with the autopsy, she didn't even remember to ask about it when we got there.
From what I understand now the parent dogs were half brother and half sister. The owners were not professional breeders. The 2 dogs just went at it and got pregnant. So they didn't plan it. I don't think my mom will get the $300 back that she paid for Tink. She did buy doggy insurance so it might cover some of the costs.
They did have her on some phenobarbital and she was having seizures right through the meds. So I don't think there was anything they could have done for her. Even though it was for the best it still sucks.
