Probably not a nuke (this time), but that's why we don't want certain countries to have nukes; because they're crazy enough to use them.

Ukraine military claimed that Russia has fired a long-range intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) targeting critical infrastructure. As per Ukraine, the ICBM was launched from the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation. Kyiv also claimed that Moscow fired Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal" aeroballistic missile from a MiG-31K fighter jet, and seven Kh-101 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Tambov region. Watch.

IMO it was fired as a warning, Putin is letting them know what can happen. I don't call it an escalation, but a warning.
It hit an Apartment building.
