A customer and I recently had a discussion about his GSD having allergies and he tried the PureVita salmon and potato (single source protein) and she got worse. He read online that potato increases yeast...he is now trying another of the PureVita foods for her.

I have a 4 year old all white American bulldog. We got him from a family who could not afford to take care of him. His ears were swollen (almost shut) when we first got him (about 2 years ago). We took him to the vet and had that looked at among other things. Zeus has severe skin allergies and chronic ear problems. I have not found anything to keep his ears under control (they stink, they get infected constantly) I don't think the vet is helping imo. I have the skin allergies under control, but if anyone has ANY suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!!!! Thank you in advance.

I have a standard poodle, whom used to get chronic ear infections and nothing I, nor the vet did would cure it. A new groomer I started taking him too suggested I start mixing Kelp in his food once a day to build up his immune system. To my surprise, it worked like a miracle drug. Now, he gets it every day at dinner time.

Strongly recommend it!

Evo is a very good food, but the Bull Dog may be allergic to that. I know in Humans, an over-abundance of Yeast, SOMETIMES means the patient MIGHT have Diabetes. before giving Acidolphilis..ask your Vet to be sure it's OK. At the Vet, they have something like it, and I think it's called Forti-Flora, but not sure it's OK for long-term use. You may also want to check in to a short-term use of Flagyl, if they have that for dogs. It's definitly better than Steroids, which can cause Kidney Failure, or in some cases...Diabetes.

Zymox worked for my yorkie poo. His ears started smelling like cheese, bought the zymox off amazon & it worked wonders for him. Sometimes new treats don't agree with him apparently.

Save yourself a lot of guessing and go see this vet. Once he figures out what is wrong with your dog's ears he will send his diagnosis and treatment to your regular vet.
