Question for the cat owners

Don't get a female Tortie, they are beotches.
Damn Jazz (kitty Jazz).

But she is a great killer.

She is beautiful!!!

I have 3 mackerel tabbies, 1 fat long hair calico, and a tabby point Siamese.

Micah, Myah, Mallie, Diva and Lily

they are all inside kitties--- tho Diva has escaped on 2 occasions-- and after her last expedition seems content to stay inside now!(she was MIA for @ 5 days!)

The Siamese is the baby of the clan-- but shes a weirdo she likes to lick peoples clothes... (seems to be common in the Asian breeds)

Claudia has been outside her whole life - she's 15.

Moosie is 8 or 9 and he lives outside full-time, never goes in the house even in winter.

Outside, "free-roaming", or Outside, "fenced"? Either way, you've been extremely lucky with your outdoor kitties, Vrai. :huggy:

I'm like you..I had outside kitties and as they died and I ended up with the batch I have now, they're strictly inside cats. Where we live there are a ton of strays that were always attacking my cats, ripping them up. I got tired of abcesses and other bite wounds, etc. Always had vet bills to fix 'em up...and 4 of them died of cancer within a few years of the bites.

Also had a problem with foxes on the deck...looking for the kitties.

I personally would stick with an indoor only cat. If they go outdoors, they pick up fleas, ticks and who knows what else.

As far as food goes, I feed my 2 for around $50.00-60.00 a year. Vet bills are minimal because they rarely get sick inside.

What do they eat ? I have 3 cats and spend roughly $7- $8 A WEEK !

Does Otter clean litter boxes?

He will help me if I ask him. I have a litter closet, similar to your set up...five litter boxes in there and one covered box upstairs. I dump them once a week...gave up on the scoopable and just use the regular clay litter.
