I think dark colors make some people look a bit more slender, and then there are some no matter what color, it doesn't help. I am not putting down heavier people but a certain color can only do so much.

I wear what ever color I like. Horizontal stripes are ugly anyway, so I don't go there. As for being big and dressing to "fix" it. If you have a problem area, you need to learn how to dress to hide said flaw. Wide people should not wear double breasted jackets for instance.If you hace big thighs, buy a bathing suit that is cut high on the sides to draw the eye up higher. You need to consider, cut, color, size and even fabric when choosing clothes. I am very picky about that, so I end up making or altering clothing to suit me. Spandex is only good if you have nice legs and no cottage cheese...Otherwise it's just scary...

The only time I wear spandex is in my bike shorts, otherwise, you couldn't PAY me enough to wear spandex pants.

I do think black helps hide some figure flaws, but black only takes off about 10 lbs.

I disagree. A big fat ass looks much better when the spandex has a HUGE, bright flower pattern. And a half shirt.
