The Persian mix-breed white kitten was born at around 11 am on August 30 and measured 10 centimeter long, according to its owner surnamed Wang, a resident of Jiaotong Road in the city’s Shizhong district.

Wang said the kitten passed away as he rushed it to a local pet hospital for treatment after noticing its odd appearance an hour after it was born.

Because it was covered in afterbirth and assorted fluids and there were other kittens, and the mother licking the #### off of all of them, and it probably fell through the cracks for an hour.

I've been around for a few litters of cats and dogs being born. Me, I never really picked a gooey one up to count toes and eyeballs. Maybe I've been doing it wrong.
