Race 26!

Keep Calm and Don't Care!
Well, here we are. 26th race of the season. 11 drivers biding for eight remaining positions in the Chase for the 2009 Sprint Cup Series Championship. A few things are certain, there will be bent fenders, bent emotions and three very upset (to make the understatement of the year) drivers. Kyle Busch (4 wins), David Reutimann (Charlotte winner) and Brian Vickers (Michigan winner) are currently on the outside looking in.

Standings After Atlanta
HomeDepot (+10) 545
Huntr1 (+10) 515
Clevalley (+10) 505
OHG (+10) 485
Gumbo (0) 450
Beav/dippy (+10) 410
Nachomama (+10) 350
TopPick 08 (0) 310
Citizen fear (0) 285

Since I'm taking back my fantasy league, I'll do this for Citizen Fear and the others. 50 bonus points if you correctly predict which eight drivers out of the 11 make it in the Chase for the Championship. (Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne, Kurt Busch, Juan Pablo Montoya, Ryan Newman, Mark Martin, Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, Brian Vickers, Kyle Busch, David Reutimann)

Richmond picks
Wild Thing
Jimmie Johnson
Smoke
Little E
Clint Bowyer

Chase: Carl, Kasey, Kurt, Pablo, Newman, Martin, Shrub, Kenseth.

Vickers sucks on short tracks, and I just don't think Biffle deserves to be in the Chase.

:bs:

I changed the rules (a) because I can and (b) to shake things up. I don't care if I win or lose. I beat your ass last year. :killingme

Only a snivleing little turd would change the rules midstream because he is losing. I would quit.

Nothing to see here
If I get behind on the football pool could you make the 5 pointer a 10 for a couple weeks?

Of course, I enjoy effing over people by tossing new rules in to keep it exciting FOR ME. Rules, smules, who needs rules.

Fail.

It has nothing to do with me. This is the only way to shake things up since everyone picks the same people every week. NASCAR instituted double-file restarts mid-season to make things more interesting. IndyCar introduced push-to-pass mid-season to make things interesting. I instituted a 50 point bonus (which wouldn't help me at all) if, and only if, a person guesses the 8 guys who will lock themselves in, which is a pretty hard task considering anything can happen at Richmond.

Sorry I'm a bit late, but I have been jammed up at work...

Kyle Busch - Win
Jimmie Johnson
Tony Stewart
Mark Martin
Jeff Gordon

#### the arguments, put it up for a vote - make a pole Andy and the majority wins on the rule change.

We will have until the start of the race to put the picks in.

Don't you go into convulsions about NASCAR just arbitrarily changing rules in the middle of the season?

:fail:
