It annoys me when someone tells you about some misfortune that happened to them, and you say, "I'm sorry" and they respond, "Why are you sorry? It's not your fault."

I'm not even nice about it anymore - I reply, "I didn't say I apologize. I said I was sorry." And in some cases I even think, "Now I'm glad you're having a bad day because you probably deserve it, durhard. "

I figured it out Vrai! Use what our parents did when we were kids and pouting or complaining:

"Awww, is somebody having a bad day? Guess you should go out to the garden and eat some worms"

or

"If you keep your lip out like that, an elephant is going to come along and sit on it"

or

"You know if you keep your face all scrunched up like that, it'll freeze that way"
