RAW foods lifestyle.

My friend is trying to get me to go raw.. I've read up on it and it SOUNDS like the miracle cure for everything. I've seen video and blogs of people who have been literally transformed by getting on the RAW wagon.

I'm trying some of it and I honestly like it. The key is getting my kids to eat it.

I was just wondering if anyone else here has tried it or lives by it. I'd be interested in some documented studies and trusted medical info.

It sounds very limited but in all honesty, I've really liked everything but ORAGANIC CHOCOLATE:barf:

If God didn't want us to eat meat we wouldn't have an appendix...

The appendix was for digesting raw meat.. We don't even use it now.. If it were neccesary, there would be a transplant list.

I'm not a big meat eater anyway. I go days without it. Months even:whistle:

Is it cold? :dead:

I've found that any coffee substitute is like sex substitute. Not even close, and never as good.

You brew it like coffee and serve it the same way. It's got no caffeine, and is made from roasted herbs and nuts.. I like it:yay:

What I have is not organic and not raw, but it's a suitable replacement for coffee.

Again, if we weren't intended to eat meat we wouldn't have one..

Granted we cook our meat now, but bottom line is, we have it now becasue we were intended to eat meat from the beginning of time.

Didn't say it was necessary.. but there is a reason we had it in the first place.

Everything about our design says we are omnivores.. NOT herbivores.. and being a vegetarian would be denying what God intended.:duel:

I don't have an appendix anymore. I had it removed when I was 11 years old because it was almost "bursting" and I could have died. Luckily that I had a surgery to removed it, so I can keep on living a long life and have two wonderful children and a wonderful husband to share my life with.

I wouldn't even try to eat raw meats at all. I only stick with raw fruits and veggies.

Some of the organic chocolate is pretty tasty. The trick is finding the one you like.

Why would you replace a roasted bean with roasted herbs and nuts?

It works for dogs and cats. A lot of illness's have been turned around with them being on a raw diet. I guess it would work for us.

I concur. I had an issue with my knee a few years back and a friend was begging me to go raw. I did and not only did it get rid of the pain I was dealing with for a month and a half but I could walk again without a brace. About 3 weeks into it the pain was gone so I went off raw, within a week my pain came back. I was so suprised about it that I went back on raw and within a few days the pain was gone again. In addition to the pain being gone I droped 35 lbs with no problem and had the energy of an 8 year old. Alot of people that go raw don't do it 100%

I have recently gone back to being raw, I haven't touched cooked anything. The more delicious recipes I find and the great feeling I have is pushing me towards 100%. I was a vegetarian for 11 years so I don't miss the meat at all.

6 days down and 6 pounds lost so far, I feel GREAT!:dude:
