The only thing I've ever tried was Wellbutrin and it freaked me out. I called a nurse hotline and the lady talked me down. It was a horrible experience. I'd start there.

Call your doctor. For realz. Nobody on here can help you. You could be having a medical reaction, side effect, or something more serious, or less serious could be going on. Just woman up and call the doctor.

If you have been taking the Wellbutrin almost a year, it might not be the medication causing this side effect. As stated above, go to the Doctor if it is a problem. It could be something simple like a Sinus Infection, or a bad tooth. Don't be skeered to call the Doc.

I've had those when I've missed a dose. It's my reminder. I've had it happen with Zoloft, Effexor, Paxil and Celexa. I wish I could get off these things for good.

If it's not too personal, let me know what your doctor says. Are you currently taking the Wellbutrin and getting the surges or trying to get off of them? I had a BAD experience coming off Effexor. Worse than the surges.

my wife was on several of these at different times ....

Welbutrian made her feel like a caged animal ....

Paxil - she wanted to sleep all the time

I just thought about this. Could it not be related to the Wellbutrin but a side effect of you quitting smoking?

I will let you know. Yeah, when I was coming off of Effexor in 2008, I had the surges and the sweating and omg it was like what I picture detoxing from a narcotic would be like. :twitch:

I guess it could be...

I had a mix up with insurance and while trying to straighten it out, I was without the medicine for 5 to 7 days. I knew it was withdrawl but it was terrible. I was even hearing noises, like pots and pans banging.

After about 3 months on Wellbutrin I developed a bad case of restless leg. At night I couldn't sleep with all the shock like zaps going on and during the day I could not keep my legs still enough to sit for 5 minutes. I weaned myself off them over about 3 weeks.

In case anyone actually cares... Apparently I am not having withdrawl symptoms from Wellbutrin; I am having the symptoms because I was abruptly taken off symbicort. :coffee:

My face is only being electrocuted every couple of hours now. :ohwell:

It's just a nasty symptom when coming off the medicine... :ohwell:

Symbicort is supposed to be a short-term steroid... I was on it for 2 years and my doctor just took me off it because it causes bone problems and osteoporosis. :ohwell: Evidently, my bone density scan was alarming for a 27 year old. :coffee: ####ing figures.
