Yes... I know the smoking didn't help. I was already addicted when I was diagnosed... and I quit so everyone stop yelling at me:cds:

 You sound like my 7 year old, I wasn't yelling :roflmao: I was simply asking a question, because I was going to ask what he put you on in place of the steriod.

I've had those when I've missed a dose. It's my reminder. I've had it happen with Zoloft, Effexor, Paxil and Celexa. I wish I could get off these things for good.

You can get off them for good. I feel everyone's pain here as I went through a period of my life hopelessly on an SSRI (paxil then celexa) then a SSNRI (effexor). I found a great website called paxilprogress (google it) and it literally changed my life forever. Finally after I made the decision to taper (ditched the psychiatrist who just kept feeding me pills) (with my GP doctor on board) I was able to get completely off the meds. I went through some very bad times with side effects (some of which were mentioned here). I have been off all anti-depressants for about three years now and I'm doing great, but it was hell getting here.

I was originally prescribed meds for GAD, panic attacks and PTSD. All I really needed was a good Psychologist (which I found) to learn coping skills.

Looking back I know that these pills have a place but I also know that they are way too easily and over prescribed. Any questions PM me.
