Right now and for the next hundred years we have plenty of coal, and fossil fuels, but one day in the future we may indeed have to have Nuclear power.. What we don't have is the capacity to make and deliver the energy needed without using fossil fuels and we have an administration and dreamers who are too stupid to realize it. When the capacity is there we won't have to FORCE people to use it. people will buy electric cars when they are worth the price, and can be used in the way people want to use them.

100% correct! Tech that works doesn't need incentives to sell, it sells itself!

These lithium batteries do not like cold weather. See this guy trying to push his car to a charger , and if he gets there it still won't charge.

Turns out it is normal ICE vehicles that are more unreliable in cold weather, and the latest reports indicate the issue in Chicago was bad charging infrastructure and not the cars.

As someone who’s worked in areas with very cold weather, and by very cold weather, I mean subzero to the tune of -24F, i’ve only had one vehicle failed to start, and it was diesel. The gasoline equipment fired up just fine, and the diesel fired up with help from cousin ether.

Right now the EV disciples are in Lie, Deny, and Obfuscate mode.

my advice… Go out and buy another EV so you have two. That’ll teach us heretics a lesson.

So rushing to build the charging infrastructure resulted in a "not ready for prime time" system. But don't blame the cars even though you can't use them because you can't charge them. I get it.

Ah, i'm pretty sure I already indicated I could charge them. Please don't assume we are all as unfortunate as you to live in a tiny apartment with no ability to charge a vehicle. Keep your chin up. Someday you may make enough money to buy a house, with a garage.

Yeah right, funny that they don't break down what goes wrong with an ICE powered vehicle, dollars to doughnuts it has to do with the battery. What a joke, nice try Clem you super-duper electrical engineer guy! LOL

Ah the Master of Assumptions shows his faulty knowledge once again. FYI Clemmy Girl, I own my home, a 3 bedroom 2 bath on 1/2 acre that we downsized to free and clear. It has a two car garage and a 16X20 climate controlled workshop. I also own a river front summer home (mortgage free) on five acres in the Adirondacks. In your defense I should have been more clear that I was using the collective you and not referring to you specifically but your assumption tendency jumped to a conclusion and you had to go on an ignorant rant about my living arrangements and my financial situation. Are you drinking already?
