Reagan's Funeral

I just saw yet another reason why Clinton is a boil on the backside of the Presidency. He was SLEEPING during Mulroney's eulogy. During the music at the beginning of the ceremony, both Bill & Hillary were bopping their heads to the music, and Bill was smiling. I found it VERY disrespectful to be bopping and smiling during such a solemn occasion. The eulogies are very touching.

Wasn't he perturbed b/c he wasn't asked to speak at the funeral? Maybe this is why...his actions are an embarrassment.

Yup, both Klintuns were asleep at the end of Bush's speech. What a pair of idiots.

Atleast P.C. is not in the front row, sitting right next to the current V.P., ya know what I mean.

In all fairness - they turn Democrat funerals into wild pep-rallies.

Why does this have to be a political issue? Who cares if one is Democrat, Republican, etc.? The man is dead - you're at his funeral - show some respect.

No kidding. How hard is it, as an adult, to keep your azz awake for a few hours when you know the nation is watching your every move. Drink a Red Bull beforehand if need be, but don't be such a tard

Did anybody else notice that GHW Bush seemed a bit rushed and unprepared? Maybe it was just emotions. He did get a bit choked up during the eulogy.

The lack of respect some people have displayed during the past week is disheartening. What a shame.

Clinton looked like a chode...
I thought he was gonna keel over.

Thatcher's speech was nice, a good recap of Reagan's presidency, although I expected to see more emotion from her.

I liked the Canadian PM's (I think) speech. Really highlighted the friendship between the U.S. and Canada, and between he and Reagan.

GHWB's speech was rushed but heartwarming... especially at the end. He brought a few smiles to everyone's face. I liked that.

GWB's speech was very... very touching. I got a little misty-eyed there.

I especially like the little anecdote about the boy who wrote to President Reagan asking for Federal Assistance to clean his room.

For those who weren't watching, Reagan wrote back in a handwritten letter, and told the boy something like "funds are dangerously low. Although I'm sure your mother was perfectly justified in declaring your room a disaster area, I'm counting on you to start a volunteer effort."
