Recomendation for roofer.

I just got on the roof to clean the gutters and saw that I had a few spots where the roof was sagging. I thought I could pull a few shingles off and replace the wood and put new paper and a FEW new shingles up. So far the bad spot is about 2 foot by 8 foot and growing. I covered the bare spot neatly with a tarp and am calling a professional.

Does anyone know a good roofer that won't cost me all of the summer vacation fund???

Thanks.

Try "Roofing By George". Neighbors loved them. Apparently nobody gets paid until the head guy comes by and inspects the site. If he finds anything (nails, shingle pieces etc) on the ground he fines the crew. Very professional.
Beat the hell out of the guys who left a mess of rusty nails and other stuff when they did my roof. Made me wonder what's under the shingles.

Ditto this recommendation. They did my roof last year and were very good. Worked hard with me to get just the right shingle/underlayment/roof vent system that I wanted (GAF). I plan on keeping this house until I croak and wanted a longer lasting system. They were professional, cleaned up amazingly well, and finished on time. Everything went as they promised and I couldn't be happier.

I'm curious, does anyone know anything about Lincoln Contractors? I've used them for several small roofing jobs, and they've always been very responsive, but I've never used them for a large job (like replacing the full roof). Please tell me your experiences. Thanks.

I would recommend RG Carpentry...410-610-9053 located in Leonardtown, but works all over...I'm not predjudice, he is my son! We were having water issues in the basement, which ultimately was traced to the gutters and roof. When all was said and done, he had to completely tear off the entire roof and all of the plywood. He replaced everything; we chose architectural shingles and he cleaned up the construction area nicely. If you would be interested in pictures, let me know and I can post them.
