Recommend a pediatrician?

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good pediatrician in Waldorf? I need an appointment for my 9 year old son, we just moved here, and I would rather have a recommendation than pick someone out of the phone book.

Thanks!

Dr. Abney, Dr. Campbell or PA Jackie all at Cambridge Pediatricians on Old Washington Road. All amazing (301) 645-1133 - Cambridge Pediatrics, LLC

We switched from Smith & Guarinello because the wait times were too long and Cambridge are open from 7am to 9pm M-Thur and then 7-4.30 on Friday.

She is in La Plata but worth the drive! Check out this resume:

No offense, as my wife is a CPNP too, but the OP aked for an MD. I left a practise because they relied too heavily on a CPNP. Plus, when I take a sick child to a the doctors, I want (and pay for) a physician. Allergy shots and school physicals--CPNP are fine though.

The office she is at there is also a MD there Dr James Harring. But I still prefer to see Jaime :)

Extremely interesting perspective to say the least; especially with your wife being a CPNP.

That was for my wife who clearly is not reading the boards today :buddies:

You got me!

I was thinking about your comment my whole ride home (4 miles but still...). I'm very interested in perspectives between MD/NP/PA's and have actually been thinking about starting a topic on this very subject for quite some time. Did you really leave your "Doctors" office because of NP's? Wait, respond on my new topic here.

I did. Long story short, we found a lump in one of my children's throat. Took to pediatrician, CNP sent us away scared to death with the advice to seek an oncology appointment immediately. It turned out to be just freakin' mono!

I've used Dr.'s Smith and Guarinello for both of my kids. They are very good. I have no complaints from them.
