Remember Buck Owens?

It's a shame. I used to check in and watch the comedy as much as the music.

"Where oh where, are you tonight?

Why did you leave me, here all alone?

I searched the world over,

and I thought I found true love........."

Buck Owens of ‘Hee Haw’ fame dies

Singer Buck Owens, the flashy rhinestone cowboy who shaped the sound of country music with hits like “Act Naturally” and brought the genre to TV on the long-running “Hee Haw,” died Saturday. He was 76.
My parents used to watch that and Lawrence Welk every week. Let's just say my best friend and I thought it was really funny for some reason. We watched it and giggled incessently. That was in the 70's so I guess I don't need to say any more.

I used to love to watch Hee Haw and Lawrence Welk with my great-grandparents. Shoot, I like 'em now - every so often I'll catch reruns somewhere and I'm glued to the tube.
