Rental Cabins, Weekend

Anyone out there have any info on rental cabins in Maryland. I'm looking for just a weekend stay and I'm a teacher so my budget is kinda small. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Maryland, VA...somewhere kind of close. I'm not a huge fan of driving long distances. But I'd be willing to check out anything you've got.

Yeah, I'm checking them out as we speak. Not too bad price wise. Have you stayed there before? I remember camping there once when I was still in Scouts but that was a long time ago.

This will be the 3rd year in a row.
First year we got the efficiency cabin, a little to small
Last year had a 2 bedroom, more then the boy and I needed.
Have a 1 bedroom reserved for next week.

They have beds, linens, kitchen utensils, bathroom with a shower and living/dining room. AC, heat and a fireplace. NO TV or Phone. We take a 20" and the playstation for rainy days or evenings.
Crank up the AC and build a fire

It's about 2-3 miles to fossil beach. Take a plastic colander and sift out some sharks teeth

They rent cabins at Lake Anna. The State Park rents them and Christopher Run Campground rents them.

If you want something closer than Lake Anna, then try the Rec Center at Solomons.

Can you get on Solomons Annex?

If you can get on the Annex they have great cabins for next to nothing. Another place you might want to check out is Greenwell State Park in Hollywood. They have cabins. They may be pricey though.

Yes, there were a lot out last Tuesday.

Hope for a heavy rain before you go...less jellyfish and more fossils (if you are into that sort of thing).

yeah, try camp merryland. they rent cabins and it just down by the college. they are right there on the water. nice crowd on the weekends too, there are cabins, people in tents, bonfires and cook-outs the time i was there.
