Replacing Primer Bulb

On my Lawnboy, I had to remove the motor cover/gas tank, then remove the primer bulb and primer fitting from underneath (snap fitting) and then simply reverse the process to reinstall. Took longer to get the tank off than it did to do the primer replacement.

That's how I changed out mine. My mower is has lost alot of it's power though. Would like to get a new one but i'm kind of cheap. any suggestions for a self propelled model if I do get a new one?

Get one with a Briggs or Honda engine. NOT a Tecumseh motor.

Try to find one where the self propelled is activated vial a full width bail handle like the saftey stop handle, as opposed to the type that is activated by a handle like the hand brake on a bicycle. I have a Troybilt from Lowes. Briggs motor. Bicycle brake handle self propelled. Love the mower, it starts within 3 pulls every spring and 1st after that till I put it away for the winter. Only thing I'd change is the previously mentioned handle.

I tried it out and it runs great. I didn't ask what all he did. I see he put a new primer bulb on and put more oil in it. He also sharpened the blade. I cut half the grass and hope to finish up tomorrow after work.
