I just got a verbal "from the scene" about the school bus accident in Calvert... kid's still trapped in the bus... big mess....:jameo:

But I don't know which thread to post it in...:banghead:

I thought the school bus did not have kids? So it did have kids on the bus at the time of the accident?

Great that the crew survived:yay:

shame about the airplane i have worked on that one several times when I was on base. The orange air data boom on the starboard skid was partially designed and installed by my old shop.
:howdy: Did you get my text message?

In My Opinion
I bet they were shot down by the maryland politicians for trying to escape the state.

I worked 5 years at TPS and enjoyed working on those little things. They're pretty much considered disposable because there's not much to them. Tough little buggers though. It was ovbious they hit real hard to do the damage that was done. They may have lost the main transmission! Glad the pilots got out.

I work at the Test Pilot School and it was a ruptured oil line in the cockpit that cuased the helo crash. On the front page of www.stmarystoday.com it pisses me off, because they keep saying that the helo landed upside down. No it didn't! It landed on the skids.

Stmaystoday also does a great job of referring to the pilots as BOZO Pilots!!!

So you're not the only one pissed, ticked me off also... :coffee:

From what little I know of the accident, and seeing the accident scene, it not only speaks volumes about the airframe but the pilot(s) too.. Lucky we don't have two funerals this week..

Hard to believe a helicopter can be torn to pieces like that and the crew cabin appear untouched..
