I know from watching history that no matter what restrictions you put up - there's always some clever stunt people can do to get around it.
Eliminate campaign donations, and generous people will still just "give" money away to candidates, whether or not it funds a campaign.
I just hate the fact that bribes exist in our government and we simply have no way to stop them.
And see, that's another thing - if you don't "campaign" - you can still go on talk shows and news and radio shows. Trump in 2016 managed to stir up so much news, he got hundreds of hours of coverage without SPENDING A DIME.
If MONEY could be erased from the political world - we could end most of the corruption.
You can't corrupt someone without at least the PROMISE of money or affluence. Well, that, or threats.
