It is projected to be up near or over $4.00 by the end of the weekend.

Well wait until some oil executive realizes that there are uncounted damaged cars in Louisiana and Mississippi which have gas in their tanks.

With all that wasted gasoline, and the projected cost of replacing it all, they might be able to push the national average over $5.00 per gallon by Mid september.

How long before we are paying $5 for a gallon of milk as the price of trucking it and other items into stores continues to grow?

Well, we made it through the Labor Day weekend and gas was still $3.19 a gallon on the way to work.

About a month ago, both my dad and my boyfriend predicted that higher gas prices would affect the price of food -- think about it, how are goods shipped from town to town? Trucks. Once they have to pay higher gas prices, that affects the cost of what they're hauling. On the flip side, large businesses can only benefit from the gas crisis -- they can simply write off the gas bills in their taxes.

I stopped at a Mobil in Kenty County a few hours ago; there were signs on each of the pumps that they were out of regular, so I chose the special...which was $3.39/gallon, but still cheaper than $3.79 down the street at Citgo. I've totaled about $70 easily in gas this entire weekend, and it's only a midsize car.

People take so much for granted. You'd dish that $70 out for gas if you were forced to walk.

I drove the 4 hours from Frostburg to Cecil County, and I need enough gas to drive the 4 hours back to school later today. I can't exactly walk the beltway, doofus.

Then don't complain about it. If you don't want to pay the high prices then walk. If you don't want to walk then pay the high prices. If you don't want to do neither then STFU because there is little one can do, this applies to anybody.

P.S. Don't stoop down to name calling this early.

Do you even realize how annoying you are? Besides, there are OTHER people on this forum reporting back the prices they see at the pumps. And when I do that, all I get is a crapload of red karma. Right, *I'm* the immature one.

What about those Ted Bundy types, killing the age of so-called 'innocence'? You know, when one was able to hitchhike with little fear.

And I've posted such in a few of the other thousand gas threads, not backing down from my stance. Please research that if you will.

I have yet to give you red karma. I cannot even give any out right now because I've spread too much.:ohwell: I'd hit MM and Remax if I could.
