But you have the traffic circle to go round and round in :lmao:
:jameo:

You could always try Restaurante' de BadGirl. :lmao:
I'd eat it....er.....a.... I mean I'd eat there.

When did you turn in to such a whiner? Was it a gradual thing, or did it just happen overnight?
Oh gawd, I think some other forumites are rubbing off on me. :bawl:

The first few times I ate there it was excellent... however the last time I ate there it was not very good at all.
What was the problem? I really only go for their microbrews....:buddies:

I got the word that IHOP will be in CH in the near future. Not a top line restaurant, but a change from St Marys Landing

Yes I heard same thing beside the Popeyes, Im not big fan of IHOP, I want a Applebee's, some kind of steak place like Lone Star, Ledo's is great but couple times a month is enough.
Md. Independent had story about LaPlata getting several more places to eat, including a IHOP, Chili's, Three Brothers and 5 Guys, and Texas Roadhouse opened this week. One of the recent places that opened which we have enjoyed is Arizona Pizza.
I have lived in Charlotte Hall for 30 years and have had to leave town to get a good sitdown restaurant.
One thing nice a can go 15 miles to the west and have LaPlata, 15 to East and have Prince Fred., 15 miles to the north and have Waldorf and about 18-20 south and Im in California so I do have many different places to chose from to eat at.

It doesn't take and hour to drive to Benedict or St. Leonard from Charlotte Hall :lmao:

I live in mechanicsville and it takes 45mins+ to get to St. L. about 30mins to get to benedict, so yeah after driving an hour plus in traffic who wants to drive that much more to go out to dinner?

So what kind of restaurant would you like to see go up in CH?

Any of the chains Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday, Red,Hot and Blue that type of place anyone of those would do really good. A good Chinese place on the lines of China Harbour or the one in Waldorf (Sushawan Gardens. really spelled that wrong) been there several times, the one by the old movie theater near Bed, Bath and Beyond. They always have good crowd and will be moving into a new place they are building across from BJ's, place is huge very big for a Chinese restaurant.

I have always wanted to open a restaurant around here, but for some reason haven't done it, there really is not an existing building thats nice around here to even put in a nice place, so it will have to wait to be built.

How can y'all overlook a 'world class' restaurant like Arby's ?
Yes, you can 'sit down' and enjoy international cuisine like the 'french dip' ! :duh:

I totally agree!!! We moved to the CH area 3 years ago and cannot stand having to drive to Waldorf, La Plata, or California just to have a decent sit restaurant meal. Sometimes if the only reason you are leaving the house is to get something to eat it stinks driving 20+ minutes one way.

I live in California, and I have to say I am sick to death of the chain restaurants. I'd REALLY like to see more privately owned places with decent menus. There are a few, but you get tired of going them over and again. A real steakhouse, brewpub, a DECENT Italian.... you get the idea. I'm looking forward to the brewhouse in Solomons, but so is everyone else! It will be months before you can get a seat!!!

So, for those up in CH and such, it must be REALLY bad if you consider what California has to be "upscale"....

Sonic would be awesome. I love the summer trips to Nag's Head to eat Sonic. Closets is Fredericksburg or Colonial Heights, VA. We need a Roy Rogers in Charlotte Hall!:diva::diva::diva::diva::yay:

We moved here from Montgomery Co just to get away from all the crime and traffic. I can'y stand "chain" resturants.
Why don't one of you open a resturant?

I'm considered Mechanicsville, but I'm really closer to Charlotte Hall. Myself, though I would love a good restaurant "at my back door," I would hate to see the Charlotte Hall area turn into another store/restaurant strip like Waldorf, Prince Frederick, La Plata, or California. I sort of enjoy not having all the traffic around. Right now, our biggest concern is the "backups" that occur on market day. Just imagine multiplying that by about 100 and trying to drive through Charlotte Hall if there were restaurants on each side of Rt. 5! It wouldn't just be on Saturday, it would be EVERYDAY! I would just as soon drive 20 minutes to a half-hour to get to a restaurant and be able to keep the "rural" atmosphere of Charlotte Hall intact. JMO :huggy:
