Restaurants - Prince Frederick and surrounding area

My birthday is in a few days. Hubby will take me out to dinner (which is very rare, mind you) and I would like to go to a nice restaurant. It doesn't have to be high-priced but offering a steak/seafood menu.

What would you recommend? We've already scratched Old Field Inn as our last experience there was horrible.

Any suggestions? We'll go to Solomons, Hollywood or anywhere in between.

Thanks! :flowers:

Dry Dock - Solomons. :yay:
:yeahthat: Especially if you hardly ever get out. It's a good idea to make a reservation even if you go during the week.

If you've never gone to Sakura I highly recommend them. Not just dinner but entertainment. Japanese style steakhouse where they cook the food in front of you. Steak, chicken, seafood, even sushi if you're so inclined. Not cheap but not too expensive. You need to be a social creature though, they will seat you with other diners.

If you want to go to a nice restaurant, try the Westlawn Inn in North Beach. I would recommend the fried red tomato topped with crab to start. For the entree, Southern shrimp and scallops.

Wow - this looks like a very nice place. Unfortunately, it is out of our budget a little. We bought a house that we have had to completely gut and rehab which has hurt our pocketbook tremendously (that's why we don't get out much!).

Thanks for the suggestions. Since hubby (and I mean that in the traditional sense, Mike) is such a stickler for just plain, ordinary food (translation=meat/potatoes), we will probably go to Adam's. I could certainly handle a more varied menu but he doesn't understand half the stuff on the more fancy menus. He wants something he recognizes on his plate when he sits down to dinner.
