Headed out of Pensacola at 2 AM ( Central Time)and have cleared Atlanta. Atlanta was much easier once I remembered motorcycles could use the HOV LANE. Went from stop and go to 70 through the city. Besides having to dodge parts that fell off of a Harley in front of me(no, really) it's been uneventful. Little over a third done.

In celebration of making it through Atlanta unscathed I'm stopping for breakfast at Cracker Barrel.

You will get no doubts about that from me. I'm planning to go scatter some parts around the county tomorrow, in fact.

Safe ride, ride safe.

We were on a March of Dimes Benefit ride a few years back, girl I was riding with lost parts before we even got to the staging area at MIR. During the ride itself, you'd see bits and pieces pinging across the road from various Harleys.

Safe ride back Bob.

I've been working on a new concoction that will make me rich and famous in the Harley world. It's a secret mixture of lubricating oil and loctite....I've still got a few kinks to work out yet.

We were thinking a magnetic rear wheel.

I was behind him in the HOV lane when the part seperated and thought at first it was a high performance Chrome air filter cover. As it bounced off he highway I realized it was a LOT more significant than am air cover. It bounced once in front me and went to my left and thought "whew, I'm clear!" at which point it bounced off the Jersey barrier and shot right back for me. I flinched and got as far right as I could and braced for impact. Last I saw it it was heading right for myeft leg, I'd left sidecase. How it missed me I have no idea.

As it was going by I figured out what it was and came alongside him to confirm, he lost a very substantial highwaypeg.

LMAO. About 3/4 of the way through the poker run yesterday, both of my mirrors vibrated loose at the base..practically at the same time!? The wind would then make them fold back and I was left to turn one back briefly every now and again to see those behind me. But of course, being a Harley rider, I carry tools...and lots of tie straps too.
