Is She fixed? Cleedus is a 4th generation pure bred. Would you like little boston puppies?:yahoo:
Yes, she's fixed. I wasn't given Breeding Rights anyway. She's got almost perfect markings too, other than half of her face is pure white, and she has a crystal Blue Eye on the black half. AKC doesn't recognize ill-marked, blue eyed Bostons.

Does anyone else have a dog that has these spells? It is very scary to me because his whole body is affected. Two vets have told me that it is not harmful to the dog, it just looks bad. What do you think? Do you have any suggestions to avoid it or to help them when it is happening? Thank you

It is like post-nasal drip in humans, just a dog's way of clearing their throat. Totally harmless.

In My Opinion
my Chihuahua does it too when he gets excited. Chihuahuas are always excited for some reason...

even though I've seen it again and again it is still scary. Thanks for all the feedback everyone.

It usually only lasts a few seconds. Just talk too, and pet her, and she will be fine. If you feel as though it is more serious, just talk to the Vet about it to soothe your fears. It is very common, and usually nothing to worry about.
