From what I'm reading in here it seems like the Labs can't handle the Rim. Since the Grey and Terrier mix have used it and it has worked well for them. Do you think it depends on the breed that is taking it?

If I were you, I'd do a search on "rimadyl" and read. You have to educate yourself and do what you feel is best for your dog.

I know nothing about the drug BC, but from reading this thread, I would find an alternative. Poor pooch, hope he's feeling better soon :huggy:

Hey :howdy: I'm going to do the research and find something else. Hubby and I discussed it and read the link posted by Labs and agree it's definately not something we want to chance! This guy's been with me for 11 years and has been as health as a horse and we want to keep it that way. He deserves the best we can give! I would never want to know that I caused liver damage or other physical problems because I was ignorant and didn't try something else! WHY OH WHY do Vets prescribe this drug and why didn't my Vet inform us of ALL the possible short term and long term side effects AND give us an alternative to try!
