This woman really has you all fooled because you have no idea the amount of people she left high and dry. You think some teenagers are the only ones who got stiffed? Not even close. She owes money to a lot of people due to that business. I just happen to care about one of them. Be sympathetic all you want. If you knew the whole story I doubt many of you would still be sympathetic, but the wool has been pulled over your eyes. So be it.

My phone was not with me when I was on the computer writing all of you so I had no idea anyone had called until I finally got up and walked away. By that time I had also emailed him on my own. I emailed him before I even got the call. I had not intended on being at the computer for hours defending myself so I didn't have my phone with me. And I never said it was $20 that I specifically owed him. I said some employees are only owed about $20. And I didn't say that he helped me the most out of everyone and I did not take advantage of him either and I am sure he would agree with me. Like I said you don't seem to get this was not done on purpose! End of the story.
Actually tried that...cant do it or my bill will actually be higher and my kids need it for their school work. So sorry. You don't have all of the answers and saving $25 a month aint paying him his money back unless he wants to wait another year.
First off, I feel this is NOT the forum to bring these things up on. I posted for true help because my family is in a terrible situation, one you have NO knowledge of at all, one that goes much deeper than you read about in here. And second, I did not on purpose set out to try and do the things you mention in your posts. You post like I was tryting to scam people, minors, and that is NOT true at all. I have been working on trying to rectify the situation. Do you think that I have money somewhere and just choose to NOT pay my obligations? Well I don't! I feel terrible and you cannot possibly imagine what I am going through (or have went through) so do not get nasty with me over a public forum. It is not right to do and totally uncalled for. Looking at it from outside it looks totally different then it is. And I can also tell some stories about some wrong doings from a few employees to me as well, some of which greatly effected me on staying open the last couple weeks which prevented me from making the money I needed. I am not sure if you are one of them or not. However, I am trying the best I can to try and get things straight and have been in touch with all employees to explain. I am not over here living it up, I have lost everything and you people on this forum have no idea where I am at in my life, how I got here (although you think you do), what I am doing to try and rectify the situation and so fourth and so on...believe what you want about posts you read from others on here. Most of them are not true and I will defend myself to the end. However, on here is not the right way. If you want to talk to me privatly then I am happy tp do that. This is a private matter not one for the world to be involved in because they have nothiing better to do. As a professional person I do not understand why no one gets that point
I never wa sbegging for sympathy . You people are a bunch of jerks. I was ASKING for advise!!! There is a difference and I really see that you all just see what you want. My family is living bare bones. I tried to cancel my ohone service and was told my bill would go up if I dropped the special plan I was on, I need internet for my kids and I have to have a phone for my husbands kids to speak to their mom on by court order they have to be allowed to talk to her. So I cannot just cancel things like you think I can. There is so much more to my life you do not know and that I am not sharing with you. But you woudl feel like asses if you knew my story and what I have been through and what I have done to help people in the past and now that I amhaving a tough go, this is what I have come up against. My post was strictly about finding help for my family so when my home is foreclosed on I had some sort of game plan or where to go and what to do. You have turned that into me begging for help and sympathy. I never asked for either. When I answer your questions then you think I want help or sympathy. I am answering your questions and that is all. You think what you want. I know the truth and right now I could care less what you all think because it is obvious that you are all closed minded and cannot see the truth if it bit you inthe behind.
Thank you to those who actually did provide me with leads to follow for help and I am taking those leads and following them. I am done with this as I can see no one else is here to offer any type of advise for my family as requested. Gossip amongst yourselves now...

Not once did I say you did it on purpose. The reason you did it doesn't matter. Do I think you set out to start a business, run it into the ground and then basically steal from people. Not sure either way to be honest, but that's not the point. Again you have a LEGAL obligation to pay these people. ALL the people you owe for Rita's.
Maybe instead of spending all day on the internet, you could be looking for a job. Oh that's right, you can't find one because of your bad credit. I'm going to raise the BS flag on that one. Plenty of jobs out there that don't require credit checks and pay decent. Any pay is better than no pay, but all you want is pity. No going to get it here.
I'm sure he wouldn't agree with you and trust me I will ask. Actually I don't have to because we just had this conversation the other week. He would still like to be paid the money owed him. Oh and I checked. You were right, the amount wasn't $400. It was more.
You're really making yourself look bad. I got a PM asking me if you are really that off your rocker (thanks for the support BTW to that person) and someone at work who didn't even know I was posting was talking about this thread and not in a good way for you.

Obviously I have financial issues or I would not have closed up the store??? I mean duh! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. I was willing to sell my store for a 1/4 of what I put into it and what it was worth just so I could take care of my responsibilities and pay everyone off. That fell through, not my fault. The buyers didn't get financed. I did what I was asked to do. I do not think I am the 1st business in the world to go out of business and not work out and not owe people because of it, I surely will not be the last. Why this is such a topic I do not understand. I never posted on here "hey I am a saint but I need help, please feel sorry for me." I simply asked for some advise from my community on where I could go for some assistance for my family because everywhere I was going was out of help, could not help and then my husband was laid off from his union job, our biz went out of biz, and now we are in need of help. Because I couldn't pay my bills I am going to be loosing my home, etc. Things I did work hard for all of my life. I took a chance on a business before the economy crash and lost. That simply put what happened. I did not set out to scam people or take advantage of anyone. I have lost way more than anyone will so the things that are being said about people feeling sorry for me and that I am a scammer and not telling thr truth are false. True the whole story is not on here and that is because it is much too long & personal to be out on the internet for all to see but I have not purposefully hidden anything from anyone. If I was trying to I could have also created a new screen name and asked my question under a totally different identity. I didn't do that. So again, think what you want. You do not know but what you hear along the way. Only myself & my husband know the full story. I know I am trying and that is all that really matters to me.

Actually slander is spoken word. The word you are looking for is libel since this is written. It also requires that the statement be false, which by your own admission is not. You owe people money. You don't deny it. I have never once stated your name or anyone elses name or company or anything else for that matter. Rita's is defunct so there is no chance of it being defamed. You admitted to owning Rita's so you only have yourself to blame for being outed there.
I made my point. I truly hope things work out for and your family. I also hope you due what needs to be done.

you're a douche. We know she screwed up and you keep whining and nitpicking and being annoying. She has financial hardships and probably has lawyers and other people breathing down her neck so she'll either pay or declare bankrupcy. There's nothing you can do posting over and over in here. That kid is a kid. It's not like he has a family to pay for. Boo hoo. Maybe he'll be paid, but if he doesn't then he still has a roof over his head and clearly, someone like you who cares oh so much for him. Out of the two, he's more likely to be just fine.
He called you out for not answering phones and dodging people, you disagree, then he shows you up. Who cares how much you owe the kid and everyone else? You still owe them. Your kids might need internet for school, but they can go to the school library or county library and get internet there. You can probably cut some other things off that will suck, but will help you pay people off that you owe. The fact that you had an "emergency shutdown" is a pathetic excuse. If you were close to needing to shut down you should have warned your employees. You werent paying attentionto your finances if it came up on you so quckly. and furthermore, if your young daughter was a supervisor then i am beginning to question how well managed your store was despite what you say!
