My daughter isn't registered to vote because she isn't interested and doesn't know anything about the players, nor does she want to know, nor does she want to keep up with current events in any meaningful way. I actually applaud that - if you don't know and don't care, don't vote. I wish they all felt that way.

I think I agree in principle, except that I believe that given this group doesn't have a history of being politically minded or critically following political news that they may be more easily "energized" to register and vote a single time based on a single issue (that they may not actually understand).
