Roku - Online content to your TV

Anybody have a Roku?

I'd like to dump the cable but still want to watch some tv. I can do NetFlix thru the Wii, but the best resolution from a Wii is 420p

Looks interesting! If we weren't under contract with Dish Network I'd consider making the switch.

I have a WDTV Live Plus. It's a full media player, and can access NetFlix and such from the net, but not HUDU or other web sites. However, I can use my laptop connected to my TV via HDMI and watch whatever I want. I have yet to find a show that can't be viewed online in HD.

The other thing you might consider is a new HDTV. The new ones all have web content players for a huge gaggle of online services.

Doing more research on cutting the cable and have found a raft of digital multimedia receivers.

Most are limited to various channels, like NetFlix or content on your computer
... but so far a PlayStation 3 looks like the best bet for internet access on the TV

Aps, have you decided to make the switch? I've been looking into it and even if I had to pay a penalty to cancel satellite service, the savings from switching to Roku or something similar are undeniable. I'm wondering if there are downsides that I'm not seeing.
