Rudeness BK Dunkirk

I could not believe how rude the girl at the drive-thru was at the new Burger King in Dunkirk. I asked if they had any promotional sales going on (such as 2 for $5). This snotty little B told me that if I wanted a special, then I should go to McDonalds down the street! She was so arrogant and nasty that I will never go back to that Burger King.
With an attidude like that she will not go far in life anyway.
Have fun hanging out of the drive-thru window for the rest of your miserable life!

Wow, that was rude. She'll learn the hard way how easily she is replaced. You should have gone in and spoke to the manager. You never tell a customer to go somewhere else and the manager would probably have fired her on the spot.

These people are mad because they are not making $15.00 per hour. You should have some sympathy for them. They can not afford to live on the money they make. :coffee:

I have been amazed at the amount of business they are doing. Cars almost always lined up around the building for the drive-thru. You almost couldn't get in there at all the first 2-3 weeks.

I finally went by there about 2 weeks ago with my son. It had been a long time since I had BK and I used to like their burgers a lot more than McD's. Well we parked and went in. It was pretty busy and there were lots of employees hovering around, but people were just standing and waiting for their food after they had placed their order. We ordered anyway. While ordering, I mentioned to the girl that I saw they had been really busy. She replied, "Yeah, we've been taking McD's business!" Okay, I understand that as a business that is something to be happy about, but it was just the snotty way she said it that turned me off.

Well, as far as a review of the food, it was not worth the 12 minute wait to get it. The burgers were no where near as good as I remembered - really no 'flame broiled' taste at all (but I guess they don't even advertise that anymore), my bun was hard on the bottom and the french fries were nothing spectacular. I don't often do burger fast food, but I will not be going back to BK the next time I do.

Reduced fat fries

I think the reduced fat fries are out, but I didn't bother asking for them. I think they cost extra too?

BK is the only fast food place near my house, if I want something else, I have to drive at least 30 miles round trip. I don't mind the BK, food is always good, burgers are flame broiled and the place is clean and usually run by older folks. Here in retirement land most fast food places are run by older folks, but the food is good, service is great and they are very friendly. Only complaint is that the young people can't get jobs because the "retired" folks have to work.

Yesterday at the Dunkirk Burger King all of the employees I saw were young. This was around noon. Maybe a high turn over rate already? In my opinion they need more older folks at this location. The older ones are usually much nicer!

Oh Hell No. I would have pulled around, parked, walked in, and demanded to see the manager along with the General and regional managers contact info. Rude people tick me off beyond all reason!

Wouldn't have moved from my vehicle, drove to window, tell the little sh!t she was rude and that I'm driving down the street to McDonald's. but then I go to mcd's or burger king once a year....maybe.

Does this mean that, even after the rude treatment at the drive in talk-box, you went inside the same Burger King restaurant (despite your vow to never patronize this restaurant)? Just askin'.

This is actually a major problem in today’s society. When I was younger I remember only seeing high school or just out of high school kids working in the fast food industry. Even the managers were in their 20's. Now I mostly see seniors and middle aged people working these jobs. I know one lady who works at the Burger King in California and that is her 2nd job. I also know a guy working Wawa as a second job and a few seniors that work fast food because their retirement shrunk or was lost all together. These jobs were never meant to provide someone with a living wage, it was meant for school aged kids to make a few bucks to take their girlfriend out or help pay for college. If they raise the wage to $15, more and more people will make a career out of these jobs and young people will not have a way to get experience in the workforce. It will also make a cheese burger cost over $10 and none of these places have a cheese burger good enough to cost $10.
