I have always been a revolver man but bought a 45 cal. Springfield Arms 1911-A1 loaded target model in black stainless and (if you will pardon the pun) is a blast. Let us know how you like it after you shoot it.
Got the reloader running and keeping the neighbors at bay...

My first purchase was a revolver, and now after 7 years, I can shoot it with some accuracy.

Figured I'd try an auto this time. I went with the STI Trojan, massaged a little.

It will have to wait another week though. There's a little boy that turns 6 this weekend that will be expecting me to be at his party on Saturday.

I just bought a Ruger P90 W/ Stainless Steel Finish. Anyone have any experience with this handgun?

Are there any Pistol Ranges in the Southern Maryland area?

Have you been out to shoot it yet?

Magnum

Should be Huntin
I've been looking into getting a pistol. I like the .50 Desert Eagle, or the Kimber .45, not sure which one I want to get yet.

The gold .50 DE is a pretty M-Fer

If you're looking for a neat conversation piece and don't really plan on shooting much, get the Eagle. If you plan on shooting, buy the Kimber.

See thats why I'm still trying to figure out what I want. I probably won't shoot that often, no matter how much I say I will. The DE will scare anyone away just from seeing or hearing it, I wouldn't even have to shoot the person.

Oh by the way YES I do live in PG so when they start shooting I will have something other thatn a shotgun to shoot back with.

I picked up the .45 cal STI a few weeks ago, and after putting a few hundred rounds through it, I can say that I am QUITE satisfied. So much so, a 9mm STI is not too far into the future for me.

I considered the .45 Kimber, but for the money, I figured that the STI was a much better buy and it came with MUCH support from match shooters that I know.

As for the DE, I have shot the .50 cal DE. It's an impressive thump. I just don't think I could get used to the aching wrist and elbow for 2 days after every trip to the range. If I ever get a DE, it'll be the .44 cal model. Deadly accurate, cheaper ammo, more pleasurable to shoot and other than providing a slightly smaller hole, every bit as scary to the guy at the at the wrong end of the barrel. AND, I already have a .44 mag revolver, so it'd make loading a little simpler, not having to buy another set of dies.

Is that a six inch barrel model? I have also shot the DE and yup, its got a big bang to it. I only ran one mag through it so but I can imagine the pain in the wallet as well as the wrist. I haven't set up to relaod the 45 yet; i have been short on time and have only run about 300 rounds through mine.

I got the 5" STI. Was told that I'd never realize the difference in accuracy between the two. As far as reloading, you are in the same boat as me. No time. I purchased a case of white box Remingtons from Dicks in Deleware for $8/box.
