No it's the treadmill at home, and actually I didn't mean barefoot literally, but with socks.

I was gonna say....that is a good way to catch something!

Sometimes I run in boots, but thats just gives my calves a little bit more of a workout, but i would fall off the treadmill in socks...hell, it's a struggle for me to stay on the treadmill in shoes!:killingme

:yay: Yeah but I'm only walking not running, so I didn't fall off just wearing my socks.

The one thing I notice after walking on the treadmill is my right knee aches.

I'm not trying to be mean, but I really don't see why you can't put on a pair of shoes to walk.

To me walking in socks on the treadmill is just crazy. When I use a treadmill I pretty much always walk or run at least a mile. Doing that in bare feet probably would not feel very good. Your knees probably hurt from not wearing proper footwear. I can tell when it's time to get a new pair of shoes for the gym. My knee starts to hurt as well as my feet.

I would recommend wearing running or walking shoes.

I've seen in Running Catalogs that Nike make these running strength shoes. There are varying levels and basically the advanced level is protection for running barefeet...they say if you run in these things a little a week it can drastically improve your running ability.

On another note, It's about time for me to get new running shoes. I've had my Kensei's for a year, I have no idea how many miles they have on them. They look almost as new as the day I got them, minimal wear on the tread, the shoe itself looks brand new...they have two half marathons and about half of the training for each on them plus countless bouts on the tmill this winter...I will definately be getting another pair.
